Danger, Danger - High Volz-age!

Former Fulham ace Moritz Volz is set for a return to the Premier League after a spell in his native Germany. The right back is currently at Bundesliga club St Pauli, but with relegation from the top flight looking likely for the Reeperbahn club, the ex-Arsenal trainee is set to thank the strugglers for re-launching his career at Millerntor, but move on when his contract expires this summer.

Early interest has been reported from West Brom, whose manager Roy Hodgson worked with Volz at Fulham. In addition, Hodgson is known to want to strengthen the right back area of his team as he is unhappy with the erratic form and poor discipline of robust Chilean stopper Gonzala Jara. Newcastle are also monitoring the situation though Fulham boss Mark Hughes has distanced himself from any speculation of the former German U21 international making an emotional return to Craven Cottage.

St Pauli current sit bottom of the Bundesliga and depending on results elsewhere, could be relegated this weekend should they lose at home to Champions League chasing giants Bayern München.
